ARTICLE I
You do not have the right to a new car, a big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II
You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone --not just you! However, you are free to leave the room, turn the channel, or express a different opinion. The world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.
ARTICLE III
You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV
You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people in recorded history, and will gladly help most anyone in need, but working people grow weary of subsidizing generation after generation of the lazy who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of individuals who likewise do not know what ‘doing something’ means.
ARTICLE V
You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us foreclose on your freedom for the rest of your life.
ARTICLE VI
You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, expect the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you will forfeit the right to a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VII
You do not have the right to a job. Sure, all of us want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid out before you so as to make you useful again.
ARTICLE VIII
You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the historically unique right to the opportunity of PURSUING happiness, not to have a subjective concept of “happiness,” somehow, conferred upon you.
ARTICLE IX
You do not have the right to a college level education. Adequate primary and secondary education, as with basic health care, need to be provided to all as necessary a survival matter in our society. The best education, …higher education, is available to those who work, save, plan, make good choices with their money, and pay attention to their childrens' daily homework. On an average salary, if you choose to buy a big boat, two snowmobiles and a trailer home, …well, there went your kid’s college money.

There is no right that your particular language will be catered to. Wouldn’t it be great if we all could learn and speak 192 languages, like Lt. Commander Data, so that we could converse with every new person who arrived in our country? That being said, this is an English speaking country. We have been since day one. Our foundations and all the literature that defines us are in English. Every generation of immigrants and refugees which arrived before this point in time understood this and went on to achieve a new and better life. We don't care where you are from. Learn the language or permanently handicap yourself and your children, …socially, economically, and by way of opportunity.
